Earlier this year I started working as a Data Engineer in Tech. I had no experience in the field. But I got 3 offers. I’ll walk you through everything I did so you don’t waste time.

You need to be sending out job applications like it is your job.

It’s a numbers game. Your job is to get a job. Nothing else. Be completely single-minded. Linkedin is your friend. 30–50 applications a day. No excuses.

You can make up experience.

Here’s what you can do. Type in “github data engineering course” or something similar. Find a suitable repo. Here’s one I found. Download it and make some cosmetic changes. Maybe change the readme here and there. Upload the thing to your github. Now you are an expert in a bunch of programming languages!
