You Did Not Lose Money
In fact you gained money. Imagine that! They thought you weren’t good at your job and you still made money!
They spent all that time and effort training you and not they’ve lost money.
You got the better end of the deal. And deep down you know it.
Remember that.
You have burned a bridge — and this is a good thing
You can never come back to this employer. But who cares?
Do you know how many jobs there are out there? They make more jobs every single day. It’s not hard to find jobs.
This means that you can now do the minimum amount of work required to meet the PIP. Now you can dedicate your efforts to finding a new job.
It does not matter if you do not finish that feature before EOD.
